After work I went to my brother's house to help prepare for his garage sale.
At one point, his little grey cat purred by and I asked who this was. He said
it was Mr. Ploppy. So I asked where his baby went. The baby he was carrying
for all those years. My brother laughed. This was a cat who looked like he
swallowed a keg. Like the actual keg itself. He was huge and super hard. He
looked impossible. Now he was a skinny little cutie that purrs like mad.

Later, Kent and I went to the Turf Club to see Middle Picker. Right when they ended,
at 10:30, we raced Nick over to the Hexagon to see Rank
Strangers. Pulling out onto Snelling at University was sobering as there were
looooong lines of cars in each direction, tangled up in orange cones. Mercifully,
someone let us in right away, and I blew them 4 kisses. We beat them over to
the Hex with time to spare before the Rank Strangers started. The place filled
up pretty fast and we got to see and talk with some fun people.

Nick and Ben gave me a ride home so Kent could stay. Found out Ben paid $14
to see Transformers 3 in Super 3d. He's a mystery, that kid. I tried to
brutally mock him for it but his casual confidence and good heart seem to
deflect all my shots. Even though I am compelled to try to crush him in
these situations (and they DO come up) I'm glad it doesn't work. I like
people who stick by their stuff. Even when it's hilariously embarrassing.
